COLORSTRAND

Color is the most important aesthetic property of carpet. Color provides the vibrancy and inspiration demanded in today's commercial carpet environment.

Carpets manufactured with fibers that are colored by solution dyeing, such as ColorStrand's Solution Dyed Nylon, offer distinct advantages over conventionally dyed nylon products.

COLORFASTNESS
ColorStrand Solution Dyed fibers are pre-colored at the time of their manufacture by mixing color pigments into molten polymer before extruding it into individual fibers. The pigmented color becomes an integral part of the polymer and cannot be removed completely without destroying the fiber. Carpets made with ColorStrand Solution Dyed fibers have color fastness properties five times greater than conventional nylons with excellent resistance to color loss from bleaching, chemicals and ozone degradation. Carpets made with ColorStrand Solution Dyed Nylon are protected by a 5-year Limited Color Loss Warranty.

Stain Resistant
Carpets manufactured from Chromell‚ Solution Dyed Nylon fibers are protected by Sentry Plus Soil and Stain Treatment, offering improved clean ability for stains, ease of maintenance and long lasting beauty.

WEARABILITY
Nylon is the most abrasive resistant and resilient carpet fiber. ColorStrand's continuous filament nylon yarns are engineered to meet or exceed a 33 denier per filament specification, providing excellent resistance to crushing, pilling and fuzzing.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FIRENDLY
ColorStrand's Solution Dyed Nylon is manufactured using a three color, one step compact melt/spinning process. This is the most pollution-free, energy efficient method requiring less that 25% of the energy used in conventional dyeing. The technique consumes no water, steam or fossil fuels during the process. When fully integrated with carpet manufacturing this technique represents the most significant techno-environmental advancement in the carpet industry.
